This three day course begins with dyeing and printing your own unique textile surfaces, using techniques such as batik and mono-printing. From there you will learn how to enrich and develop these, by way of simple machine and hand embroidery techniques. Finally, you will embellish your samplers by using a wide variety of emphemera, such as buttons, beads and found artefacts. This is a great introductory course, designed to help the budding textile artist to think outside the box! |
