Easy 2 D Garden Mosaics

Weekend garden mosaic workshops

This weekend introduces you to two possible methods of making mosaics for your garden walls and fences. You will use the direct method of applying frost-proof mosaic pieces to a board to make either a house sign or a decorative wall plaque. You will also learn how make more intricate work onto mesh. You will make several of these pieces and use one of them to practice the transfer method onto a slate surface, thereby producing your second beautiful wallhanging of the weekend! You will take the other pieces home so that you can transfer them directly into your garden.

As the weekend progresses, you will begin to be able to differentiate between those materials that are suitable for an outdoor setting and those that are not. You will also develop cutting, glueing and grouting skills, all of which will allow you to continue to produce garden wall art long after you return home.

All materials provided, but please be sure to wear old clothes and old shoes.

If you are planning to attend this workshop in Crieff, please take the following links to the Galvelmore House Site which offers further information about the course, the location and the course accommodation.
